Empathy is Fundamental to the Betterment of Society

This project was part of my senior thesis in Spring 2022, focusing on empathy as a vital tool for social progress. I created a newspaper and mural installation to inform through research and move my community emotionally. By combining design and purpose, I aimed to inspire both older and younger generations to see empathy as a key to a better future.

This project remains one of the most meaningful things I’ve worked on, and I’m proud that it continues to hold space in a community I care deeply about, even in 2025. I hope it encourages both older and younger generations to think more deeply about empathy and to see it as the foundation for building stronger, more unified communities.
