Graeter’s Ice Cream -Design Internship

Spring 2020 - Spring 2022

From May 2020 to May 2022, I worked as a Design Intern and then Graphic Designer at Graeter’s Ice Cream, a beloved Ohio brand known for its handcrafted French Pot process. During my time there, I supported both the retail and manufacturing departments by designing signage, merchandise, training materials, and more.

This selection includes a few of my favorite projects from that time. One was Scoop Olympics, an internal morale-building competition held across store locations. I created concept designs for custom letterman-style jackets to be awarded to the winning team—infusing school spirit energy into a fun company tradition. Another project involved designing recipe cards to promote staff-created milkshake ideas, submitted for a chance to be featured on the official menu. This was a playful, creative challenge that brought together staff voices and visual storytelling.

Lastly, I had the privilege of working on Cones for the Cure, Graeter’s annual fundraiser supporting children with cancer. I created visual bios for both sponsored and honorary “warriors,” telling their stories and honoring their strength as part of the campaign. These pieces were incredibly meaningful and reminded me of the power design can have in creating connection and awareness.
